I am a trained Fine Artist. I studied Art foundation at Camberwell college of Arts, Graphic design at Bath and Fine Art & Philosophy at Middlesex University. Then Studio-practice & Critical-studies with performance based time-based media at London Metropolitan University. After working at Artworks gallery in Hong Kong I became an Art director for an Independent-indie film Cross Harbour Tunnel directed by Lawrence Wong. This was shot on 16mm transferred to 35mm film and shown at the 25th Hong Kong International Film Festival touring the festival circuit in Rotterdam, Asia and London.
I was discovered by my manager after working in production, casting and scripting for RTHK. I received my acting training at The Identity School of Acting, IDSA London. My page IMDb.me/susu lists my Cantonese speaking roles as Angel in ‘Sealed with a Kiss’, nominated for best supporting role, directed by Derek Chiu, Sanni in ‘Twelve Nights’ directed by Aubrey Lam and Master 9 in ‘Cross Harbour Tunnel’ – my acting debut and as art director. These are full length feature films the first 2 are studio commercial releases by Milkyway (HK). I have voice dubbed in English & Japanese (voice coached) for a major Hong Kong feature film starring Andy Lau, a fantastic studio experience, film title : ‘Fulltime Killer 3’. I have modelled and taken part in advertising campaigns whilst living in Hong Kong. My experience includes invited to perform in a Contemporary Dance Group with choreographer Afa Chiang which toured Hong Kong and Tokyo. I designed the costumes and performed on Theremin and VJ’d.
I am now based in London and have taken part in workshops including at Pinewood Actors Studio to continue refreshing and fine-tuning my craft and skills. Follow me on Instagram at ‘suaugold’ and ‘Su Au’ on Facebook, my preferred artist name.
In my spare time I paint, listen to music, read, write and practise yoga. I am also a keen cyclist and nature lover.
